Colorful vegetable pasta – Slovenian news

Summer’s abundance of fresh vegetables gives us many opportunities to try new, even unusual recipes. In doing so, we not only play with tastes, but also with the appearance of meals, which can be very attractive and original. One of the options in recent years is the increasingly popular vegetable pasta, which we prepare with special tools – cutters, the simplest, but just as effective, we get for a few euros.

At first glance, vegetarian spaghetti really looks like pasta, it’s also served with many sauces, vegetables or meat, and cheese, such as feta or Parmesan, goes well with it. Vegetable pasta can also accompany main dishes, such as meat. We eat them fresh, but we can quickly boil them in boiling water or fry them in hot oil. It can be prepared as a hot dish or as a cold snack, even as a salad. Vegetable pasta of different colors is used for the colorful decoration of different dishes, hot or cold. With a little imagination, we create colorful culinary masterpieces that will charm even the little ones for a healthy meal. For example, we mix yellow and green zucchini, if we add carrots to it, we get a wonderfully colored tris, which can be supplemented with beetroot. When doing this, be careful how you assemble the dish so that the red color of the beets does not overlap with the rest.

We can also cut wide pasta, for which we use a cutter with a wider blade, and a vegetable peeler is also useful. In this case, first cut the zucchini into slices with a knife lengthwise, and then cut into slices using a peeler. We also make thin sheets of whole squash using a peeler, we make carpaccio out of it, and if we cut it thicker, it can be, again, instead of pasta, the basis of a great lasagna. Skilled chefs will also cut pasta or spaghetti with a regular kitchen knife. If we are to be dazzled by these dishes, it is worth buying a suitable cutter. In addition to vegetable spaghetti, you can also prepare fruit, for example from apples.
